As the mystery man in the Batsuit lifted his helmet, Nightwing felt his jaw drop "N-No way" he stuttered "Y-you've got to be kidding, this is all a practical joke" Alfred shook his head, holding his helmet at this side and solemnly says "No joke, Master Grayson."
"B-but you? Alfred? Your Batman?!?"
"I believe I've made that clear, Richard." Grayson takes a deep breath and is able to shake off his shock. He composes himself and begins talking "So your Batman?" Alfred Nods "Why?"

Dick Grayson had had a long day. Since first thing in the morning he had been chasing false leads on the Mystery Bat's identity. Not to mention his fruitless attempts at figuring out why in the world Killer Croc would rob a gun store. In general it was just a bad day, and Grayson was looking forward to getting back to the Bat Cave and going to sleep. Fate had other plans for him.
Upon returning, Nightwing was met with an unpleasant sight. The impostor Batman was standing at the entrance, holding Damian's unconscious form."What have you done?" Nightwing shouted.

Damian squeezes off the first shot as the mystery man dives for the floor. The guns report echoes in the warehouse's vast emptiness and a box shatters from the wayward shot's impact. Damian shoots again and the bullet whizzes past the impostors head, much closer this time. The imposter raises his arms before his face and Damian's third and fourth shots are deflected by their heavily armored plates. As he lines up the fifth shot, the man knocks the gun from his hand with a well-placed batarang.
